Cons: accessibility to 10s of thousands of games is often not a good think: read The Paradox of Choice. Wider social acceptance can often resulted in a dilution of gaming purists (I like belonging to a niche- it feels special and personal), the depth of gaming conversation can also suffer greatly even among retro gamers due to the sheer scope of material and our greatest limitation: time. Did we ever need societies validation of our greatest pastime? Does this matter, if yes, why?
